German medium tank Pz. III was produced in 1938-1943. These tanks were used from the beginning of World War II, some of them were still in service in 1945. From the middle of 1941 to the beginning of 1943 Pz.III was the backbone of German tank troops and became a symbol of Blitzkrieg. However, fighting with Soviet army showed that the tank's gun was not powerful enough to successfully fight Soviet tanks T-34 and KV, while the tank's armor didn't offer enough protection against soviet guns.
