J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, brought to the big screen in an epic trilogy. Weta Workshop was thrilled to return to Middle-earth once again, contributing design, specialty props and specialty costumes to all three films.
In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole. It was a Hobbit Hole, and that means comfort.
"Bright round doors in summery hues dot the lush, grassy hillsides of Hobbiton like wildflowers. Behind each doorway, comfortably appointed burrows wind into earth: each one home to a Hobbit, or a family of the Shire's rosy-cheeked little-folk. Every Hobbit Hole is unique, expressing the personality of its inhabitants with colour, prettily adorned gardens, furniture, and the rustic debris of everyday life. The faint red colouring on the door contrasts with the abundant greenery wrapping its way around this humble home, while pastel-coloured flowers adorn the roof like a gentle crown."
"Easy to display - just 5.9" wide; An exact replica of the real Hobbit Hole at the Hobbiton movie set;
Complete your Shire and collect the entire range."
Images are of a pre-production prototype. This product is hand painted and variations may occur. This gorgeous little environment is an exacting miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand. It was designed by the same artists and craftspeople who worked on the movie. "Because of the relationship we have with all the production parts of the process, we access to everything from concept drawings to set plans, which is really handy when making things like Hobbit Holes." Leonard Ellis - Sculptor & Model Maker, Weta Workshop
