Invented during later stages of World War I, the armored cars were used by many armies around the world during the pre- World War II period. They were intended for tasks requiring high mobility, like scouting and raiding enemy rear communications. Soviet armored car BA-10 was armed with 45-mm gun and a machinegun and was a formidable opponent to German troops. However, the factory where these armored cars were produced, had to be evacuated, so, in effect, the production of BA-10 ceased in 1941 and wasn't re-established.
